Everything I Learned in Kindergarten Applies in Social Media

Most of what I really need
to know about how to connect
and what to do and how to be
I learned in kindergarten.
Wisdom was not inside the closed doors
of the executive boardroom,
but there in the community on the social web.

These are the things I learned:

Share often.
Play fair.
Don’t spam.
Follow back when people follow you.
Update your status.
Engender loyalty.
Say you’re sorry when you “shout” by leaving your CAPS lock on.
Create and provide value.
Blog.
Taking care of your customers is good for you.
Live a balanced life -
learn some and think some
and tweet and twellow and post and link
and play and work every day some.
Answer your email every afternoon.
When you go out onto the web,
generate traffic,
nurture your relationships,
be present to opportunity.

Yes, I just really like your blog and how it is set up. ~~ I would really like my to be crisp, clean, and clear like this. ~ I'm jealous. Need to learn a lot more.

    My blog is at http://bajionline.com
I actually like my Facebook fan page really much better, but want to get rid of that first tab. Because I want them to land on my Wall tab.

    HELP ~~!!!

  • Kris Pauly

Yes, Facebook is changing the tabs. It is being implemented over the next 2 weeks. It may come back during the change, but don't fret, it is going to be permanent (for now:).

Isn't it amazing that most of our social etiquette can be traced back to kindergarten? It seems that we forget the little things as we age.

    Thanks for the reminder.
