Summer Reading List

I keep getting asked for a good reading list on Social Media Marketing.

Well, here’s a good start (at least a part 1 to tide you over until the next post!)

Twitter Revolution,  Warren Whitlock & Deb Micek

Social Media Marketing in an Hour a Day, Dave Evans

Get Seen, Steve Garfield

Naked Conversations, Robert Scoble & Shel Israel

Groundswell, Charlene Li & Josh Bernoff

Trust Agents, Chris Brogan & Julien Smith

Social Media 101, Chris Brogan

The Social Media Marketing Book, Dan Zarrella

If you’ve got others to share, post in the comments!

(Oh, and be sure to give each of these fine folks a follow on twitter. Just search twitter.com: NAME to find them… it shouldn’t be too hard!)

May be a bit of conflict of interest since I work with Mark but these are two great books that'll help any business owner – online or brick & mortar …

The Irresistible Offer – Mark Joyner – How to Sell Your Product or Service in 3 Seconds or Less
Integration Marketing – Mark Joyner – How Small Businesses Become Big Businesses, and Big Businesses Become Empires.

    Cheers,
    David

Loved, Crush it from Gary Vaynerchuk, easy read with lots of eye-opening truths, he is the ultimate hustler (in a good way)
just started Trust Agents and Social Media 101 so no opinion yet on those

  • Darlene

I read “Get Rich With Twitter” by Dennis L. Prince. He has lots of your really basic “how to” stuff for set up, but he also has some cool ideas for strategy and making it work.

Nicr selection Kate! I also spoke with on the conference call today for Let’s Get Social. I was asking about more social media branding sites that did backgrounds for several networks. You said hit you up for the info… so…. if you of any other GOOD ones – Social Dressup is booked obviously, it would be gratly appreciated.

    Thanks, Scott N

We as Social media managers need to have a complete package to offer our clients. Local search and mobile media is the wave all companies must master. There is a company that offers training in this field. It gives us the total package to offer potential clients. Here is their link

    http://www.imleadership.com/

They may be close as far as taking new trainees. But if we are not offering local search and mobile marketing to our clients, we are doing them and ourselves a great disservice.
